You have a story and an illustrator — but you need someone to figure out what the book should actually look like before anyone picks up a pencil. I'll develop the full visual identity so your illustrator has a clear, cohesive direction to work from.

You have a story in your head but getting it onto the page is the hard part. I'll shape your idea into a picture book manuscript that sounds like you and reads like a dream.

Art Direction & Illustration
You have a story but no idea what it should look like yet. I'll figure out the entire visual world — the style, the mood, the colors, the feel — and then illustrate it. You'll be involved every step of the way.

You have an idea but need help getting it onto the page and figuring out what it should look like. I'll shape your story into a written manuscript and develop the full visual direction — ready to hand off to an illustrator or bring back to me to finish.

Most books are made by a team. A writer who hands off to an art director who hands off to an illustrator. Each person does their part — but nobody holds the whole thing.
This is different.
Full Story Development is a single creative partnership from the very first idea to the final print-ready page. I'm not joining a project already in motion — I'm building it with you from scratch. The words and the art aren't developed separately and reconciled later. They grow together, informed by the same vision, shaped by the same hands, at every single stage.
You bring me your idea — a memory, a person you want to honor, a story you've been carrying around for years. I'll take it from there.
